Mumbai Police Return Seized Property to Complainants – Thousands of Mobile Phones and Assets Worth Over ₹1 Crore Recovered

A special program has been organized by the Mumbai Police to return property seized in various crimes to the original complainants and victims. The event is being held today, March 13, 2026, at 5:30 PM at The Crown Banquet Hall, Vikas Center, 7th Floor, Mulund West.
This initiative is being conducted at the Zone 7 level under the Mumbai Police Commissionerate and is organized under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone 7. All police stations under Zone 7 have actively participated in the recovery operations.
During the program, the seized property is being formally handed over to the rightful complainants by Dr. Mahesh Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (Eastern Regional Division), Mumbai.
According to preliminary information, thousands of mobile phones and other valuables worth more than ₹1 crore have been recovered during various investigations and are now being returned to their rightful owners. The exact number of recovered items and the total value will be officially announced later after the release of the official press note.
The initiative aims to strengthen public trust in the police and ensure that seized property from criminal cases is returned to its rightful owners as quickly as possible.
Senior police officials, journalists, and citizens are present at the event.

मुंबई पोलिसांच्या पुढाकारातून गुन्ह्यांमध्ये जप्त करण्यात आलेली मालमत्ता मूळ फिर्यादी व तक्रारदारांना परत देण्यासाठी विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. आज दि. 13 मार्च 2026 रोजी सायंकाळी 5.30 वाजता मुलुंड पश्चिम येथील The Crown Banquet Hall, Vikas Center येथे हा कार्यक्रम पार पडत आहे.
मुंबई पोलीस आयुक्त यांच्या संकल्पनेतून परिमंडळ (Zone) 7 स्तरावर हा उपक्रम राबविण्यात येत असून कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन पोलीस उपायुक्त, परिमंडळ 7 यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली करण्यात आले आहे. या उपक्रमात परिमंडळ 7 अंतर्गत येणाऱ्या सर्व पोलीस ठाण्यांचा सहभाग आहे.
कार्यक्रमात अपर पोलीस आयुक्त (पूर्व प्रादेशिक विभाग) डॉ. महेश पाटील यांच्या हस्ते गुन्ह्यात जप्त करण्यात आलेली मालमत्ता संबंधित फिर्यादींना अधिकृतरीत्या सुपूर्द करण्यात येत आहे.
माहितीनुसार, या कारवाईदरम्यान हजारो मोबाईल फोन तसेच एक कोटी रुपयांपेक्षा जास्त किमतीचा मुद्देमाल जप्त करण्यात आला असून तो आता संबंधित मालकांना परत दिला जात आहे. या मालमत्तेची अचूक संख्या व एकूण किंमत अधिकृत प्रेस नोटनंतर जाहीर करण्यात येणार असल्याचे पोलिसांकडून सांगण्यात आले.
नागरिकांचा पोलिसांवरील विश्वास अधिक दृढ करण्यासाठी तसेच गुन्ह्यातील जप्त मालमत्ता त्वरित मूळ मालकांना परत मिळावी या उद्देशाने हा उपक्रम राबविण्यात येत आहे.
कार्यक्रमास पोलीस अधिकारी, पत्रकार व नागरिक मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित आहेत.
