Tribute: Passing of Mulund’s “Vikas Purush” and Senior Journalist Tony Agrawal

Mumbai: Mulund woke up in mourning today with the heartbreaking news of the demise of veteran Congress leader and former senior journalist Ramesh (Tony) Agrawal. Known as the architect of the region’s development, he passed away this morning after battling a brief illness and undergoing medical treatment.

As news of his passing spread, a wave of grief swept across Mulund and political circles.

End of an Era

The demise of Shri Ramesh (Tony) Agrawal is not merely the loss of an individual, but the end of a golden era of journalism and public service. During the 1970s, Agrawal Ji earned recognition for his fearless journalism in Delhi and consistently upheld the values of principled politics.

He also played a significant role as a visionary developer behind “Model Town” in Mulund West — a prestigious bungalow township whose legacy will continue to remind future generations of his foresight and contribution to urban development.

Condolences from Political and Social Circles

Leaders from various political parties, journalists, and citizens of Mulund have expressed deep sorrow over his demise. Many remembered him as a guiding force who always worked like a guardian for the welfare and development of the area.

Despite being a property developer, his vision remained rooted in public welfare and the creation of a well-organized society.

Final Farewell

Tony Agrawal leaves behind a rich legacy and countless memories. His passing has created a void in the Congress party that will be difficult to fill. Model Town, where he resided, stands grief-stricken today as it bids farewell to the man who gave it its identity.

“He will forever remain alive among us through his writings and his work. May God grant peace to his soul and strength to his family to bear this loss.”

Heartfelt tributes!
